Videography by the hook
Julian Pais BSc, Creative Director, the hook video content production
My approach to a client brief is to ask: what’s the big story? I look for a central idea, theme or visual context that we can use as the ‘hook’. This is designed to draw a viewer into your story and focus on what’s most captivating about it. This hook leaves an impression that will stay with them, so that they remember your project, your mission or your organisation.
With 15 years' experience in Marketing I have managed advertising and communications projects across all channels including large advertising campaigns, email marketing, social media and internal communications.
Combining video production expertise with my broader marketing knowledge, I have been producing videos to support marketing and PR campaigns for the past 10 years.
I run a small, well-equipped and agile business calling on specialist resources such as translation and voice-over when the need arises, so that professional-quality video content is available to all at a competitive price.
My list of clients includes the New York Times, London Live, Illamasqua, UCL, Alchemy Arts, Breast Cancer Now, Walk the Walk, Joseph, Dawn Capital, Join the Dots, the Goethe Institut, Apollo 440, Reverb music, Artburst, Campsbourne School, Wiley Publications, Hidden Hearing, Blood Cancer UK and Camden Market.
Client reviews - the hook video content production
I worked with Julian to film a testimonial video with one our long-standing clients. He was flexible and accommodating in his approach, working within a pretty confined space to produce a professional, high quality video. I look forward to working with Julian again on future projects.
