YouTube sensation live at Union Chapel
I had the pleasure of recording a live concert by YouTube sensation - 'Animenz' who performs piano arrangements of soundtracks from classic Anime films. The concert was filmed at the Union Chapel in Islington London to a sell-out crowd of die-hard fans.
It was my first opportunity to try out my new Ashanks motorized slider, providing a dynamic top shot of the piano keyboard. I was able to install on the parapet above the stage and controlled the camera remotely using my Samsung tablet.
The audio recording was achieved by mixing the ambient sound in the venue with the sound from the mixing desk with my Zoom H4n recorder. Special thanks to sound engineer Bryan Mills - an old friend who happened to be working at the venue that night.
